mod mess up Thread

I have a few questions, the first one is I got the mod Artificial Brutality (for CnC Yuri's Revenge) and put it in a My Doc. file then installed it from there. I can't play online now (which i expected) but when I deleted it from the My Doc. file it was still in the game so I went in to my game directory and tries to delete al of the things that had to do with it. IT IS STILL THERE!!! .

Can any 1 help me?

My second question is: I made a few good maps for Yuri's (CnC) and wanted to post them here but am not sure how to do that. Is there a way if there isn't i'll post this part in coments. ty is u can.

Reinstalling the game might be the fastest way to get that mod out of there if it doesnt have an unistaller program.

If you want to post maps, just upload them to a website, geocities or freewebs will even do, you just want to put the maps on there, and then link us to them. Screenshots work good too.

I agree with duckedtapeddemon on this one. If you really want to get rid of it then reinstall. About the maps, I'm not sure if you're trying to upload them here or just show us your work. If you just want to show us your work, then take screenshots, upload them to photobucket or imageshack or something and then post the pictures here.

I want to upload the maps here so ppl can download them. Ty fot ur help but im not sure if uninstalling the game(Cnc Yuri's Revenge) will work because a friend had a mod like this and when he uninstalled it it didn't work so i'm gona try but i'm not sure.

It will work if you fully uninstall it (make sure the directory is gone completely), then reinstall. What happened to your friend prolly won't happen to you

it didn't work artificial brutality is STILL there after is uninstaled CnC Yuri's Revenge and artificial brutality is stilll in my start menue! the only thing in that directory (artificial brutality) is a readme and when i try to open it my cou will ay the files have been removed. does that mean that the mod is gone or just the read me?

the only thing about screen shots is that i don't no ahw to retrieve them after they are taken do u?

start menu means nothing, its just shortcuts. if you click on the start game file it wont do anything which means you successfully got rid of the mod

ok so the mod is gone if the read me is not opening ?

If you are taking a screen shot by pushing shift + Prt Scr then to retrieve them you would open up something like paint and click ctrl + p or choose edit--->paste. Viola! There you have it. And if the readme is not opening that means the file is gone. So the mod is gone too if you deleted it's files, it's just got shortcuts still there. Remove them!

ok i fired up the game and it is back to normal. but when i went to add remove progams the mod was never there b4 i got rid of the mod or after. how do i get rid of the folder?

To remove the shortcuts in the start menu, open up the start menu, right click em and choose delete. I'm using Windows XP, but this should work for any recent Windows OS.

Works since 98.

i have xp home edition
and about thoes maps i won't be able to get any on until i figure out how to use a free host for them , and mi had to uninstall my map enitor so i have to go redownload it and get all of my maps back since i uninstalled the game to get rid of a mod so hopefully soon but don't count on it.
