Guys just so everyone knows it does not have to include the ModDB logo at all, as long as it makes sense to gaming culture. --

Question: What's the situation on spot colors? Should I do my submission in spot colors? |

Here's my WIP. Suggestions and criticisms welcome. This shirt is targeted towards ModDB's HL2 community ( you know who you are ;D). I'll just do spot colors then, because it's relatively simple since I only have one color. Edited by: cheesydud |

Just a quick test from fooling around, very simple. Could work though? Would need more work. Anyway, I'm gonna try and get started on something more game-oriented... -- -FPREFECT- |

no, a spot colour is a colour that is not made from CMYK and is therefore printed in a single run (although it can be converted to CMYK it later) Can anyone find out if these T-shirts are carousel (Screen) printed, or transfers? as this could effect the way the artwork is set up. --

what do you mean by "spot colours" As Hendrix said, they're not mixed tones in CMYK, but precise colors that are printed with just one predefined tone. Most commonly used in shirt prints is the Pantone scale, but there is also HKS. These spot colors guarantee that your color (e.g. the ModDB red) always look the same in print (of course, the color perception differs depending on the base material). And I'd like to ask the same question as Hendrix. Although there are many nice artworks in here that would be fun to wear - if the printer utilizes flock or flexo print, several of these motives will not be possible. |

Not really, I'm doing online marketing and digital creation. But print belongs to the basic things that you learn during your apprenticeship, even if you aren't going for print |

(Both are front-sides) Tried to do something independent from the prefab MODDB designs. Also keeping in mind that there might be limitations to how complicated our prints may be. Do we have to work a limited colour palette, or can we go all-out? else I'd like to do something propaganda-like, like the poster I did a while ago
Also, can we send in more than 1 design per person? Cheers Edited by: lodle |

Yeah, the strider is quite undisputably stolen material, so it's not going to the competition, but I wanted to post it here for you people to see anyway. I din't understand the layout stuff, so it's simply pasted onto the t-shirt. I'm sorry that the image isn't of such enormously nice quality, but it's more like a consept than an actual canditate for the competition, you know? -What!? Why doesn't my image show up?? Here's the url: |

Looking at the splitreason store, it does appear that they support a decent amount of colors: Splitreason.com Having said that, I generally believe the best designs are the smart ones which don't "overdo" it. Edited by: INtense! |

Note to all the people putting hl2 and source on the shirts, moddb is about more than that so try to express this, not just the game you play or mod the most. Edit: or staff member you love the most!
Don't deny, you all want one for you, your mum and your dog. + spares for cleaning the car. Edited by: TKAzA |
