Making Desura more social-oriented | Locked | |

The main issua about making desura friends is that, you hardly ever interact with other players (only through comments in games, or in the forums...) This could be addressed with an option to add people on desura's game servers. Maybe giving the developers a little tool to allow this, or at least, only in desura servers |

We do not have any game servers, so I am not sure what it is you are talking about. --

Oh, i thought Desura would most likely have official game servers. It'd be sweet to just type a code or something in the ingame chat to identify your account on those servers, then use commands such as "add player (name)". That's what i meant. |

Hmmm, if you mean Desura team hosting game servers for indie games or providing similar services, that would be nice, though very improbable ATM it seems. |

Improbable? why? If an average person can pay for dedicated servers, why can't a somewhat "big" company do the same? |

It's not that "big" as you may think... and yes, improbable, but *possible*. @Kamikazi[Uk] sponsorship. And IMHO, DesuraNET could provide such service. (Own suggestion) Either for free (sponsoring) or for a bigger share (so devs had to get less than 70%/85% for each copy of game sold if DesuraNET is to provide servers for the game). I think it would be great if there were some Desura sponsored servers. It would make it easier to match up with friends for games. I think this all ties into the other social features though, such as chat. |
