Looking for suggestions on games to make vids of. Thread

Hi Guys.

I have a youtube channel mostly for indie games (though not exclusively) and have a number of different shows. But I find myself spending a great deal of time finding games to make videos of to fill those shows. So I thought maybe you guys would be able to give me some suggestions!

Here are what shows I am doing

Weird Game Wednesday
Spotlighting Weird, Strange, and down right Bat Sh*t crazy games! (honestly I spend more time looking for games for this show then all the rest hehe)

Free Game Friday
Name says it all. Games that are free. Though i prefer interesting games for this and again lean towards indie games.

Is It Fun?
More or less a first impressions series. Generally paid games as free ones would be in free game Friday.

Kickin It.
Games on kickstarter. It is best if the game has something playable as just a trailer and concept is not much to make a video on. Unless the dev would be willing to do an audio interview I can run over the games trailer. But that won't likely happen unless my channel gets bigger ;-)

PS This is not a post begging devs to give me their games for free to make vids of. That is not what I am about. (though i would not refuse offers. ofc) I know I am a small channel so I am not worth giving free games to hehe.

Are you wanting games for you to feature, or more ideas on how to diversity your show? I'm a little confused on what you're looking for since it isn't clearly specified.

Have you tried appealing to your audience? There's this youtuber I watch, who always mentions in his videos "if there's some game you'd like to see me play, leave a comment about it."

@RNavega Yah thought about that. probably will in my next episode of Weird game Wednesday. But my "audience" isn't very big yet hehe. *shrug* just figured these forums could give me some quick ideas. If not i will just keep digging around the net like i have been :-)

@Ragendar I liked Amnesia a lot. But at this point making an Amnesia video is like beating a dead horse with the leg of another dead horse.

Good Amnesia custom stories never get old. There's a good one coming out tomorrow too. The creator has been working nonstop over the last 12 days to get it out by his deadline. He's exhausted himself, and like a true artist, he's created a masterpiece which will revive this so called 'dead horse'. Just give it back its leg, if you'd be so kind.

Project Zomboid might be something you would like for "is it fun"

For the free game show ERIE might be worth a go but I suggest not watching any vids on it before hand.

As for weird games I really don't have any to pass on. Well maybe Zombie Grinder?

@Fedora: You can do more than that. You need to go through your entire library of videos and add annotations at the beginning of each: "If you have a game suggestion, write in the comments or send us a message!". The good thing is that you don't need to reupload videos to add new annotations.

This way you can also use your old videos for this matter, not just the new.

Don't get me wrong I love Amnesia and playing custom stories. There is nothing wrong with the game its self. But videos of Amnesia and horror games in general is very over done on youtube. The Screaming like a little girl video market is pretty well covered hehe. Though that custom story does sound interesting not sure if i will do a vid on it but I will certainly play it. Whats the name of it?

Same goes for ERIE. really just don't know if I want to go down the horror game path. But will give it some thought. And will check out zombie grinder thanks! :-)

Try Kerbal Space Program. It's hilarious.
