Looking for HL1 mod Cold Ice Thread

Greetings! Im looking installation file Half-Life modification - Cold Ice. Previously, I had this mod. Now I can not find it on the Internet. I can only find the old version of the mod. If you have please share this mod, I will be grateful. Presumably a file called coldice2.5.exe

Well, the only site I found is this , but the mirror, hosted on FileFront, is long gone. But, I suggest you contact the uploader of the file (stated as filL ) and ask him if he still has the .exe. Better try to reach him through his Steam profile.

Link to download working again. That's the version I was looking for. Google Chrome pointed to a malicious file, but I downloaded, it's OK.

Are there any videos, images etc? We should add a mod profile for it.

I found one video, but the gameplay is the old version. I've never tried to record video. Maybe someone of you knows how to do it? This is one of the first multiplayer Half-Life mods, it's old school.

Well, there's no compulsory need that a mod page has a video. Just some pics and some info for the header will do for now. Since you (Cybermax) are playing it, take some pics of the gameplay/maps, upload them somewhere and share the link here. I am sure someone will pick them up and create a mod page for it . Or you could do it yourself, if you have the will/time .

Video isn't compulsory but helps a great deal. And that video linked above shows it off fairly well I believe

Brilliant, we shall make sure it never gets lost to the ravages of time again. Anyone remember the old HL1 mod War in Europe? It used to be one of my favorites and was lost to time as well

Unfortunately I learned of the existence of mod only when found here. With people could not play. The problem is that many good mods no servers is to play. But I belong to the Steam group called Mods Unded. This group is about mods for source, but I'm sure can be and for goldsrs.

I think I found a download link for War in Europe Lonebullet.com, but I do not recall this mod . Gonna give it a shot.

And yes, many great Half-Life mods have been left in oblivion. I believe the only GldSource mod still active is Sven Co-op. And nice little group, I hadn't notice it on Steam.

I remember my friend and I loved to play the Firearms 2.5 mod. I even installed it in a computer club, it was more popular than the counter-strike 1.3
I have an idea. I can write a tutorial how to make windows installer for HL1 mod automatically determines the path to which you install Steam.

Ah yes, Firearms! I loved that mod! It came along with the early version of Counter-Strike (that edition also included Wanted!, Absolute Redemption, Team Fortress, Ricochet and I think Half-Life: Deathmatch Classic). As for the War in Europe damn, I couldn't find it on ModDB. Maybe because it has been archived.

And writing that tutorial sounds like a good idea. There are never enough tutorials around! The more the merrier .
