Recently, I have been inspired, and I wish to create a basic 3D platformer using a basic engine, such as Unity. But, for whatever reason, scripting/programming simply eludes me. I cannot figure that stuff out no matter how hard I think about it, or try out tutorials. The good thing is, though, I am an artist. I have no experience in model-work, but I think I can figure that out. I can also do textures, so we got that covered, too. If anyone is interested, I'll reply with more details. But until then, I guess that is all I will say.

Aside from that, I have a basic feel I want for the game. Mostly focusing on speed, as well as precision. Character concepts might come later, but only if anyone is interested. The physics would make you feel light-weight, but not floaty. Just more capable of jumps and the-like. Not sure how possible this is, but from what I have seen, for someone who is actually gifted in that area, it shouldn't be too difficult. I don't have any money to offer at the moment, but I also don't have many requirements. Mostly just for someone that is looking for something to do, or wants to create something similar, but lacks in the artistic area.

Sorry if this is ridiculous, I have never really done a collaboration or anything. VERY new to all of this. But I am considering game design as a profession, so hopefully if I can have some kind of a portfolio, it might help. And this seems like the first step. (Although, of course, whoever helps would be able to say the same thing.) So…Yep. :) Reply to this thread if you are interested, or have any questions, because currently it is about 4 AM, and my brain is not at full capacity. Haha.

Welcome to the forums. A friendly advice would be to present some of your work as an artist and maybe develop a little more the concept of your idea. Sadly I will not be able to help, I have been really busy lately. Also I enjoy 16bit 2D Platformers way more than 3D ones. :P Good luck with finding a programmer.

Hey, thanks. That sounds great, I probably will after I get some sleep. :D… Yup. Anyways, thanks for the reply as well. Don't really mind you can't help, the tip is nice in itself. ^-^ Although I'd have to disagree with you on the platforming bit… *cough*

So anyways, yeah. Updates after I am not completely energy drained. Will show work and a more in-depth concept.

You really need some sleep. Your brain says that 3D Platformers are better than 16bit. Your situation is terrible, you need energy to think correctly.
Just joking.

Hey, if you are still around, I sent you a PM about a related project I am working on that could use an artist. Check the message for more details.
