Hi All,

I've been working on a 2D game tirelessly for the past month named Doop which is a fast paced single player side-scroller/platformer. Definitely looking to start not-building prototypes and start locking mechanics into something I can use. problem is I'm not wired toward mathematics and programming much, it's just something I picked up when I first started off making games five years ago. I build small prototypes to test character animations out of Lua but that's as far I can get, I'm wondering if anyone is at all interested. The goal is to finish and package it up for play on Linux devices exclusively but I need help from someone who knows what they're doing as far as programming goes. You don't have to be some kind of pro it's just a small game really, you can go in from scratch or use a framework it doesn't matter to me I just want the game done. I do a little bit of Ruby and Lua on the technical end if that helps at all. Other than that let me know.

Overview
In a nutshell the game is about a kid who is addicted to video games to the point where his (evil fire-breathing) mom bans him from playing. Obviously he finds a way to play his AzuloX300 anyway. After an outrageous loss to a hacker online he yells and screams at the screen until something happens, the room flashes bright white and he wakes up in his video game forcing him to face the consequences of being a hardcore gamer in a hostile environment.
