Level designer Thread

Hello

My name is Izzy im 18 and i am currently looking for a project to indulge myself in and help me to learn more about the modding world.
I have studied mapping for a long time and found that in all the time i have been using hammer i have nothing to show for my work and still seem to have difficulties finishing projects. My favourite aspects of mapping are creating buildings and prefabs and i really enjoy reproducing architecture from photos or film. I am much weaker with displacements and landscapes yet knowledgeable and eager to succeed.

What i am ideally looking for is a serious modding team to take me under their wing set me tasks and generally help me push myself to succeed. I currently only have 2 years experience using Hammer editor for the source engine. Im a smart guy with a head for working out problems.

Just thought I would let everyone know that Izzy is very nice to work with and is hard working. I worked with Izzy on a past hl2 mod and I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

Hmm... Well, Another semi-experienced mapper on my team would be nice. Do you have more experience with single player or multiplayer?

Mostly Multiplayer. I know the fundamentals to single player maps and im open to learning more and new experiences.

Anyways, what kind of games have you mapped for? Have you mapped for any class based shooters like TF2?

I have Mapped for Counterstrike source, a HL2 mod known as Battlegrounds 2, Day of defeat: source, a historicaly accurate Japanese melee mod, States at War, And am currently prefabbing a church scene to be used in an upcoming mod that I wont name.

I like the fact you have actually thought deep into game play ideas for your mod, it shows initiative.
