It's just the same thing as fishing. I don't see any difference between slamming chicken against the wall, or piercing the fishz0rs cheek, and then letting it out to bleed to death if it's too small.

Yea, I think I'll have a 'Twister' today. :P

The deletion of my post above was accidental. Please disregard :P

Well, the beak chopping portion of the video was remarkably disgusting. Two main thoughts ran through my head while watching this video. One, it's gross as hell and I'm not eating at KFC anymore. Two, am I surprised?

As far as actually boycotting? I dunno, I just might, but it makes you think about how many fast food or food processing plant uses horrible methods similar to KFC. For some reason, I'm really not surprised. (Well the beak chopping was a little surprising.)

Does it make much diffrence anyway ?

Im all against animal cruelty but,
They are bred to die, bred to be killed, and bred to be eaten.

Its not like there being cruely treated and left to live, the main point of their existence is to die.

Granted, but I think the main point is being abused until they die. Can't say I agree with it.

OOOH! YUMMMY YUMMY IN MY TUMMY.

Honestly, if they're going to die, and they're not human or any other logically-thinking lifeform like us, I dont care how they die. They're all gonna end up in my stomach anyway.

oh man, chickens have to die so i can eat them?!

holy shit i'll never eat chicken again!

yeah right, its all BS
we've been killing animals to eat them for hundreds of thousands of years, nothing is going to change, you can say its not the same but replace good ol' pams words with
"many chickens are still alive an concious when" - the bullet enters their brain, the club comes down on their head, etc

peta kinda pisses me off, they're so dumb sometimes

they send out all of these idiotic stickers, one with a baby chick(en) on it and it says "i am not a nugget"

its just.. gah. ridiculous.

I was resisting making a Pamela Anderson comment XD

Naw, I wouldn't really boycott, but just so long as I don't contract some freakishly strange disease from them, which would probably be my main concern for poorly treated chickens.

Back to my point being not surprised. I kinda figured this is how they treated animals bred to die to begin with, and this supports it. I'm not totally heartless though, the beak chopping thing still phased me O_o (Didn't know about that part).

KFC shouldn't be the only one blamed for how they treat their chickens as they can't possibly be the only one. But I guess you have to pick a more specific target if you want to get anywhere.

Just because humans do this, and have been doing this, doesn't make it right. There are more humane ways to go about this.

Thats horrible. I want to kill those people. I have chickens so i feel very deeply for them. That is really bothersome. I will NEVER eat KFC again. That is cruel. Someone should make a petition, id be first to sign it. They could change it. Even though we have been killing animals for years, that is terrible. You guys have no heart if you can just sit by without feeling terrible. Imagine your self being one of those birds? imagine having ur lips cut off. Imagine being stuffed and breathing in the air which is composed of the chicken shit which causes a nausiating fume. Imagine having your throat CUT and being cooked ALIVE. If you say you imagined it you lie.. you cant imagine that. No one can comprehend how painful it is. I spit on all of you. [removed from post] They could atleast kill the birds with less cruelty. The old fassioned way would work better. instant, no pain. Once the heads off they cant feel anything. I really am disgusted with you people. I now see how mean people really can be. I hate you all.

That's aweful, there is no need to treat animals like that, it didn't even look that efficient... so I don't see how it could be justified, even from a business perspective. I mean it's outrageous to animal lovers, and they could do some pretty nasty damage to the company (hey they already lost me as a customer).. why not clean up their act?

They treat animals that bad and don't blink an eye, do you think they care about the food they are producing for you?.. probably not so much.

That's piss poor production at best, no need at all. I don't know how you guys can find a comedy element to it tbh.

I've seen live chickens getting their head chopped off and plucked alive when I was living in the Philippines still.

Bloody sight I have to tell you. I still eat chicken though, just haven't felt any kind of compassion towards the chicken I eat. Btw, I don't like KFC. Too fatty and it makes me dizzy when I eat them. :S

that video was gross, yet i will still eat chicken. kfc was gross to begin with and ive only eaten it like twice in my life. so liek, yeah, screw peta. 4000 years ago humans didnt have the equipment to just cut off a head and save the animal the pain, so i can imagine that animals went through worse things until they were dead. it would almost make kfc look humane. the living conditions of the birds should improve though.

(Here) You can travel a couple of hours to a place where you eat cats instead chicken and donkeys instead cows.

To kill a donkey you get on the truck and bam! and to kill a cat there are several ways since those can put up a fight, the first one is to grab it, on one end of the rope their neck, on the other a brick, throw to the barrel full of water and wait. Another is using a rope too, but this time two persons pull each side of the rope as hard as they can.

Except that's only to kill them, the rest of their lives they live much better than these chickens.

Have you followed the other links?, It makes sense that eating meat uses more land and water and everything than eating just plants (less forests, more poor, etc), another reason to become a vegan and have no more than one/two children.

I always thought particularly inhumane killing was limited to dodgy two-bit places from whom no company in their right mind would buy meat. I might stop eating factory chicken because bird-flu would be a fitting natural revenge for such treatment.

Sep 28 2005 Anchor

listen to the name Kentucky Fried chicken.. Im sure we all knew that chickens were to be killed, fried then eaten.

Ofcourse the slaughter house is going to look abit off putting, and the very low quality fotage of those guys kicking the chickens about, isn't exactly surprising either... people working in a slaughter house ain't going to care about the well being of chickens before they kill them, are they?
IF YOU THINK ITS CRUEL THEN ITS BECAUSE OF 2 THINGS:
1) you hate images of violence.
2) you hate violence or harm against animals, or chickens.

Dont act as if you give a damn about these chickens when you were eating one the other day.
If you say you do care about them in any manner, then be a vegaterian, otherwise its hypocritical.

I'm not a fan of chicken, but i do like a chickenburger =D

It's cool. After I heard about the threat of the Avian Flu, I decided that I'm not going to eat any poultry again. So all I have to say is, "Sucks for those chickens."
