Hey everyone! I've been lurking around here for a while and actually found a few games via the site. I run a company called tinyBuild, we've been helping indies from all around the world for 5 years now. Published games like Guts & Glory, Streets of Rogue, Punch Club and more. Today I want to invite indies from the Seattle area to attend a 1-day conference we're helping put on. It's on July 31st in the Triple Door in Seattle.
We've got post-mortems of Astroneer, FTL lined up as sessions. Keynotes include Valve with a business update, the devs of CS:GO, and I'm hosting an "Indie Survival Guide" panel with a variety of devs from different perpsectives. The director of ID@Xbox is going to be there giving indies the do's and don'ts of releasing on Xbox. There'll be lunch and an afterparty. To be clear: this isn't something profitable, I've invested $20k into this event and we're not covering the costs by far. The tickets cover only the alcohol and snacks which there'll be plenty of. Lunch/rent/logistics, all of that is on us. Just giving back to the community! Edited by: INtense! |

Incredible lineup, some amazing names in there and a great initiative for the gaming community. Oh and thanks for the discount for IndieDB friends! For those of us not located in Seattle, is there any plan to stream the event, i'd love to tune in. -- Scott Reismanis |

We'll actually have Mixer (Microsoft's livestreaming service) stream the event. They're also doing a session on sub-second livestreaming. It's kind of weird -- people should try it. It's like having a skype call with instant feedback. When you enter the chat, the streamer instantly responds to your comments, without delay. And when you stream, you can have an actual dialogue. Details are being worked out on what the URL will be |

Have used mixer, know a few streamers on it. The realtime stuff is nice! -- Scott Reismanis |
