Importing weapons from XSI into Quake 3 engine | Locked | |

I'm starting out with 3D modelling in XSI, specifically weapons right now. I have found tutorials for getting guns into HL2, and I think I've seen some from Crysis, but I have also done a Lightsaber that I would like to put into Jedi Knight 2 or Jedi Academy, and I can only seem to find tutorials to do that with 3DSMax. From what I gather, I need to convert the model to .GL3, and also include the tags defining where the blade eminates from and where the player holds it. Does anyone have the experiance of modding JK2/A or any other Quake 3 games to show me how to attach the tags (or import from an existing .GL3 model) and export the finished article into the game? |
