I am so bored, but I was wondering if anyone has any models which I can use to add normal mapping to. If you want or need models to be normal mapped, please post here. I can't wait to get working on some normal mapping. |

Actually, the modeler usually does it itself, because all it really is, is a texture generated out of a high-poly model. Also, I got nothing from when you used to work for me, so I don't think this offer is exactly promising. -- < insert subject games here >

Actually, we at Dh3 do - they need Polybumping rather than just standard Normal Mapping. If you're able to deal with that, that would be great ^_^. Just e-mail lava_lord@hotmail.com about it or head to our forums at; |

Actually US, I've been nabbing as much info as I possibly can - regular normal mapping would be fine if you could find the time to do so. Gotta spruce up them 650 poly weapons models with an equally low poly normal map for a fair LoD at maximum efficiency you see |

Latley Ive been making HiPoly models which are killing my computer. lol Azz0r, future games will be using Normal mapping, I know that Far Cry uses normal mapping, HL2 can handle normal mapping, Doom 3 uses it, and a bunch of other Next Gen games. But I guess it would never hurt to help you out ambershee. Latley I found out that finding Normal Mappers are hard to find in modding communitys, lately as of now, I am nearly the only one here who is lending a hand for modders. I would be glad to make either a video or powerpoint presentation/tutorial for people such as modelers in this community to learn the basics of Normal Mapping. Then I could make an advance tutorial which discusses normal mapping which you see in Doom 3. |
