I can see some of my videos look not good. They look fair enough on youtube and better still right from the HDD. Uploading with the youtube url, what can be done to get good picture? I ask also if there is some way to get HD option? I am pretty sure this type of questions was asked already and i apologize for repeating.

What program are you using to capture the video? what resolution are inputting and outputting? What video editing software are you using? To get a good video, start from the capture because converting it down to lower quality is easier then bumping up to higher quality. From there editing the video, you have to look out for the software actually making your video a lower quality.

recording with shadowplay for the most part. Not the best quality but it encodes and compresses with GPU. 1080p at 30 fps, write speed 50 Mb/s . Sometimes edited with VLC or whatever else is free. Maybe Blender once i figure out how. Then Handbrake for more compressing, I only change one or two things from the default presets. Upload it up to here or you tube

I've never use VLC and blender is mainly used for animation and making the models for in games. Blender is very good for using models and videoing them at high quality or having scripted scenes. You might want to look into using a different video editing software, I've heard if you're looking for free Lightworks is pretty good. You might also want to find a capturing software which doesn't compress as much as possible. It's better to go in with with as much raw footage in the best quality and then compress once editing is complete.

Video recording is always a trade off between quality, space, and speed. I'm not familiar with handbrake, but if you're using h264 or similar, then you're likely going to want to constant quality (rated from 0 perfect, to 51 worst). Setting it from 20-30 should be your best bet. It comes with everything from Shotcut to VirtualDub, so Handbrake should have.

VirtualDub is the one that i will make use of opposed to what other free options i know about. And Handbrake is really great. from using the advanced tab i only change ref frames to 4 from the default 3. Also sometimes with stalker mods the sound is all messed up after handbrake goes to work on it.

So, i ask to make sure. Shadowplay is a no go for the HD button feature for posted videos here at moddb, right?
