Visual C++ Toolkit 2003

OMG... a cut down VS C++ .NET

The Microsoft Visual C++ Toolkit 2003 includes the core tools developers need to compile and link C++-based applications for Windows and the .NET Common Language Runtime:

* Microsoft C/C++ Optimizing Compiler and Linker. These are the same compiler and linker that ship with Visual Studio .NET 2003 Professional!
* C Runtime Library and the C++ Standard Library, including the Standard Template Library. These are the same static-link libraries included with Visual Studio.
* Microsoft .NET Framework Common Language Runtime. Visual C++ can optionally build applications that target the Common Language Runtime (CLR).
* Sample code. The toolkit includes four samples designed to showcase the powerful new features of the 2003 version, including new optimization capabilities, features to improve code-security and robustness, enhanced ISO C++ standards support, and the ability to use the .NET Framework library and target the CLR.

Acually, php IS a programming language but its also a scripting language, just live VB. VB isn't a compiled language.

And you can build GUI programs with php if the computer your using has gtk installed (this means it can run on *nix, windows and any other os that supports gtk).

You all seem to know quite about Visual C++. Question: When there is an error in the VC++ Runtime Libraries, what does that mean?

maia777: no idea

By far the best way I have found to code is using mingw and notepad++

It eliminates so many headaches visual studio gives you. Be gone Visual C++ hellow mingw. :)

LOL Arghvark!!!

But I's be surprised!! Reading the earlier entries into this topic, is seems that there are folks here who know what a Runtime Library is when using word. I've discovered that disabling macros usually prevents the error, but what gives?? And this happened suddently. One day word worked perfectly, the next Runtime errors. huh???

Very strange.
