I am curious to know, what is the legal situation of an indie team working with a revenue share perspective?

Did one of them founded a company, or are they all members of the same company? I know it may differ depending on the country but I'm curious.

As far as I guess, someone has a company and hire the others as independents, defining in a contract what % people will have (after calculating it on the work time needed), but I guess I'm parsecs away from the truth. While I wanna check about it on the web, could someone enlight me? :)

First of all, don't do that. It doesn't work.

Second of all, the legal situation is whatever the respective copyright holders agree to. Simple as that. Any one person can't distribute another's copyrighted work without permission, so everyone with a stake in copyright can demand either that you hold up your end of the bargain, or that you stop using the works copyrighted by them.

Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice, just some common knowledge I've picked up over the years.
