Essentially what the mod would be is a voice recognition software that you run in the background of a game (like Skyrim or Dragon Age O) that would pick up on your voice to select options in game. Basically the plug in will run in the game and activate when the player is presented a set of responses (in a dialogue scene). The game reads the current code and uploads the text on screen (and assigns the options 1,2,3,4,5,6,etc: reflecting the button the player hits to choose the option) to the background program and listens to your microphone input, matching what you say to the uploaded text, and finally selecting the choice for you. Basically, what I'm thinking about is making RPG's with silent protagonists more immersive (especially for when the Oculus Rift come out). You talk to the NPCs.

I'm basically just looking to hear if this is an impossible task, or if I'm thinking about development wrong.

Combine this with gesture recognition, and you have a game where spellcasting = gestures + spoken spells
