I had an idea in mind, I just want to check with you guys if you like it, cause I tend to like my own ideas, even if they suck.

So, it's a team game, but can easily be played 1on1. It's a sneaky type of game which at least I think would be fun (beware, long read):

Two teams:
Parasites (aliens)
Agents

Parasites are alien spirits that are capable of taking over a human body. Their spirit can remain in open air for a minute before dying. After that they must have taken over a new body. The parasites goal is to infiltrate an area and be there for two full minutes. If they succeed, without getting caught and killed, the team and player will get 30 points. When an area has become infiltrated, a new area will be the targeted zone. Since maps can be rather big nowadays there would be like 3-5 zones shifting, depending on the number of players.
When parasites take over a body, it won't spawn with any weapon. If you want (and feel you need) weapons you can get it at some different locations of the map (which the agents hopefully will guard). Killing an agent results in that the team and player gains 10 points.
One can not take over an agent, or take over a body within an infiltration zone.
Taking over a body is noticeable by other players. Also when leaving a body, it will first fall to the ground and then wake up and become a normal person again.
It takes 3 seconds for an alien spirit to leave a body and 3 seconds to enter a new one. If the spirit has not found another body in a minute it will die, resulting in -10 points for the player and for the team. The spirit will spawn at one of the original spawn points.

Agents will spawn with a pistol. Their job will be to protect the different zones from being infiltrated (one at a time). All agents will be informed if an alien walks into one of these zones. They then have 2 minutes to find and kill the alien/s that are inside. They get minus points if they scare, injure or kill any innocent civilians. Scaring 5 people will result in a point in penalty for the team and player, injuring someone results in 2 points and killing someone results in 10 minus points for the team and player. Killing an alien results in plus 10 points for the team and the player.
An agent can recognize a parasite either from its behaviour (if not like a normal person), or by talking to it for 3 seconds (if they don't respond in 3 seconds they are aliens).
If an agent dies, he will spawn at one of the original spawn points.

Weapon: there will only be one weapon, an accurate pistol with sufficient ammo. You will not be able to buy more ammo or other guns.
Showing your gun or firing it close to people will scare them. Scaring people is inevitable, but doing it unnecessarily much will result in minus points.

Sound complicated but it seems to be a pretty original idea. I have not herd any other games with similler game play. I like the idea and would play it if it became a mod.

I just thought of it, perhaps it needs some explanation :) I just wrote a lot of unimportant things.
As agent there are alot of people around, and anybody could be an alien. The only way to know for sure is to talk to them or to just notice weird behaviour, like strafing, running or whatever. So it would be like a sneeky hide and seek game :)
I don't know if it has been done before, cause I usually don't play alot of mods.

Well like I said I like really like the idea and would play it if you were to mak it. you should right a design document to beter formulate the game play.

Ok, I just wanted to check if the idea was interesting. I will probably don't do it right now, since I'm making a mod with my classmates as a school project. But if I want to make more mods after school is finished, I may bring up this old idea ;)
