Concept: Urban Rivalry is going to be a gameplay rich mod focusing on urban combat between special forces/police and street gangs using the half life 2 engine.
Our design is to be completely authentic to urban culture and gang equipment. The mod will feature maps based on real
gang-common areas and will feature several different gameplay modes, such as classic Team DM, to an ever expanding list of ideas such as our concept drive-by mode, which will involve one time driving by the territory of another and causing as much damage as possible to the opposing force, (which would be another gang) totalling the damage using a burnout 3 style tally.

We also have several gameplay concepts such as "handcuffing" when playing as the Police, as well as several "king of the hill" style game modes with gang and urban related themes, combined with aspects of the mod concerning the need to earn money (via opening criminal establishments) to buy the essentials such as weaponry and ammo.

We want to create fair and balanced gameplay giving each team unique advantages and disadvantages. We want to also maintain a tactical element to it as well, promoting teamwork and realism, with the possible use of ironsights and zone-sensitive damage.

We are very serious and have a real passion to see this mod to completion, which we hope with this work ethic instilled within the whole group will enable us to achieve this goal.

We already have a few texture artists and a modeller/animator after a few days of being live but we still need:

If you have any more questions about the mod, feel free to email any one of us or reply to this topic. There is more to the mod but we wanted to keep it short (ish ). Again, we really want to try and bring some innovative gameplay to HL2, and solid gameplay is our first and foremost concern.
