Hi all,

HL2 Mod team needed, in Sydney, Aus if possible

I'm currently putting together a specs doc for a HL2 MP mod concept. I will be making a start on PC and NPC models, textures and animations soon.

I am looking for the usual skill set, engine coders that will be able to pick up the HL2 SDK and SOURCE engine and learn it/run with it, level designers and possibly textures artists and other modellers.

I don't want to say much, but the mod is based on the following:

"
- Year is approximately 2100.
- Post Apocalyptic ‘Above Ground Ruins (AGRs) and Below Ground Tunnels BGTs’. AGRs and BGTs are where battles are fought and ground is made in the fight against the opposing force.
- No electricity, no running water, air is breathable.
- Sky is saturated with post-war dust and pollution artifact, temperature is always –0 degrees Celsius AG, and slightly warmer BG.
- AG light conditions are equal to low dusk lighting throughout the day, and light at night is equal to ¼ moonlight, which is minimal.
- Personal apparel, weapons, items of clothing, and all other equipment is ageing and worn. Characters keep clothing, weapons, and any other mission critical items in working condition so as to not jeopardise any mission.
- Technology has been improved pre and post-war, so that some items and equipment is ‘futuristic’ in relation to current date. Some items are also ‘relics’ as found and used one team.
"

I'm a designer with about 6 years experience, and game dev is something I've been wanting to make a start in for a couple of years.

I'm quite secretive about the concept due to the ambitious and (as I can see so far, original) nature of the mod, and may go as far as asking team members to sign something to say that they will not talk about specific aspects of the mod. I am thinking of getting a legally registered company name, although I'm not sure yet.

I expect alot from myself and will from the team members with regards to the quality of the work, however I haven't a time limit for completion of ver 1.0, or any releasable version.

It's something I'm very excited about and have put alot of thought into it, but I will be relying on those team members with specific skill sets to help guide the mod dev.

Once I have a core team, I assume that others will be welcome to join in development although I need that reasonably experienced team base to start.

Let me know if you are interested! :)

Cheers,
Leakey.
