(HL2) Engine Modding help Thread

This is yet a formal project but I'd like someone with expierence modding the valve source engine as I've had problems. It isn't anything major, as it only involves manipulating code. I'm looking for a close in third-person camera, and an altered control scheme. Basically, regular walking adopts the half-life 2 controls for driving (e.g. 'wasd' controls movement and turning. mouse controls looking with no impact on direction.) Another change is that instead of space bar being jumping, it's the aim button (you can only shoot when it is pressed.)

I was playing Resident Evil 4 and thought the controls would work well on a PC, so I thought I'd test it out.

Again, this is not a formal project yet. if the engine works, I'll come back to ask for a formal mod team. If your interested, ask and I'll give you more specifics.
