I got Hammer/Worldcraft and i made a map and I know there arn't any leaks or anything but it won't run in HL.

It says "Could not find filesystem dll to load."

I'm not big into files and stuff so i have not a crap worth of knowlage about what its talkin about

you can reach me on Steam as UberBender or on AIM as UberBender

p.s. if you want me to post my "build program" and "configuration" stuff than i will

ok put compiling to your desktop <--just to see hwat it does
then go to Tools>options>BuildPrograms

make sure all of thses executables are set to there right compiler.. for examble
VIS executable should be pointing to a vis.exe

and all others CSG, BSP, RAD, should have there respective .exes as well..
there EXEs should be located in your worldcraft folder under names like hlvis, hlcsg, hlrad, hlbsp,
after this compile and check your desktop for any new files.. if they are there then delete all of them except .bsp then paste the .bsp in your maps folder for steam.. or whatever your using to run em..

get back to me if it doesnt work..

Mar 27 2004 Anchor

thank you so much it worked perfect!!!!!!!

heh.. your welcome :D

Mar 28 2004 Anchor

i was never good at mapping..It looks fun but could never do it

Mar 28 2004 Anchor

its like modelling.. except with a lil more *zing*

Mar 28 2004 Anchor

actually modelling is like mapping with a little more *zing* :D

Mar 28 2004 Anchor

nah.. modelling is quite easy.. evn with studiomax i find it easy to drag blocks.. and it never messes up
while mapping has unreliable error occurences and unrealistic compile times..
*zing* isnt always a good thing lol

compile times.... eugh

I have a 3.04 ghz machine with half a gig of ram... it still takes hours as soon as you get anything approaching a complex brush, and you're like "eh?"
