Halo 2 PC Thread

Good thing it's not arriving for my used OS's, it saves me alot of trouble playing through a crappy game.

Why finally release Halo 2 for PC after 3 years? Especially if the game is not that good. I mean the graphics will look like hell to today's standards and the gameplay is still lacking, plus the ending still gonna suck BIG TIME. The first Halo for PC didn't do a quarter as good as its console brethern, so why would Microsoft even bothered? They are retarded.

I thought it was overrated, and now they plan on only releasing it for Windows Vista? Stuff that, I will be using linux by the time vista is released.

I think that's what they're hoping.

Halo 2 was nothing special.

While it was a decent game, I wouldn't buy an entirely new computer to play it unless you just need a new computer for whatever reason.

It would probably look better on the xbox 360 anyway, and play better too.

Seeing as how the PC version of Halo blew, I'm assuming Halo 2 will follow the same destination no matter the OS.

Well, i dont know. Maybe these 3 years, bungie has been updating the game's engine... specificly for the PC. Maybe it will make use of the DirectX10 feature on windows vista...and use 64 bit tech. Whatever, it may be good, or it may suck shit. well just have to wait and see

Well it's hardly going to be much better than the Xbox version, which blew chunks. It STILL won't have an ending either. I don't care what fancy new tech they've deployed into the engine, it's the same old terrible game.

Well Halo 2 for pc will use a better graphics engine (possible the same one as Halo 3) so it will be a sight to behold.
I've got Halo 2 on Xbox but I'll still buy the pc version simply because of the superiour graphics and sound, as well as the better controls.

Maybe microsoft realized that the dark side isnt powerfull, maybe they have a chousen a diffrent path, maybe Halo 2 will be much better.

Halo 2 won't use a Halo 3 engine, because invariably someone will rip the engine and use it for their own dubious deeds.

The Halo 3 engine won't be seen until Halo 3. The new Halo 2 will probably be tweaked so that the graphics are improved and the engine is optimized.

I'm betting all the graphics enhancements will be is higher resolution textures. The outcome could be different in the technical standpoint since Gearbox aren't porting it this time round.

I guess it's going to be bad... It's funny: While Windows gets worse, Mac (which I use) and Linux keep getting better... It's a pity that some applications only run on Windows.

GFJ i totally agree with what it is that your saying I can't stand t hat microsoft is thought to have "the best OS ever". Unless Windows Vista pwnzorz Microsoft will die.
Halo 2 was a great game (on xbox live) but on the PC it wont be any good without Xbox Live. Also spartan you hate Macs so dont act now (rolls eyes)
