Half-LIfe 2 mod crashes (Forums : Tech Support : Half-LIfe 2 mod crashes)		Locked

SpecialForce	For some reason I can't play half life 2 mods. Yet I can play regular Half Life2 just fine. Whenever I try to play the mod, the screen goes black and the music loops. Then it just goes back to the desktop without an error message. What should I do?

SpecialForce	The mods jail break and zombie panic. Also DoD and CSS will not work either and I do have SDK downloaded. (What does atm mean?)

Setis Please Leave A Beep After The Message	atm means "at the moment" and I have had a similar problem with zombie panic. However, after making sure my sdk files were all 100% up to date, and fully downloaded it worked again. So, right now, all i could think of is trying to double check that all the SDK content is up-to-date. Henley Currently Occupied for Reasons Unknown	yeah i would get both the orange box and the source sdk as most mods will need them. If your having problems with official games then it might be more then meets the eye. Disk defrag and a virsus scan + reinstall hl2, both sdk's and a fresh download of both mods including all patches. SpecialForce	Now I seem to have a new problem. On my labtop the GUI/Desktop is missing all that shows up is the wallpaper and the mouse pointer thats it, what shoud I do? Edited by: SpecialForce
