Hacking games Thread

anyone knows good hackong games?
i liked uplin, dark signs and street hacker.
i'm especialy looking for one in the same style as dark signs and street hacker.
i allready know of blue sky and digital hazard.
i mostly like dark signs cuz it emulates a OS and you adjust everything :p

no but I do love them. I think you got all the ones I know. Well I do know this other one. But I don't think you'll want to play that. Though I love digital hazard the best. and is dark signs the one whre in the demo you have to infiltrate this dolphin thing. Or it has a dolphin somehwere.

yeah, that's dark signs. Just checked thier website. It's a great game. but I like digital hazard cause there are more consequences. Like the time limit and stuff.

well i found another one: Hacker 2005 but it realy sucks.
if you liked the consequences thing, try uplink:
even when your disconnected they can still trace you

uplink is a nice game but at some places strange. i tried only hacking a bank once or twice and even deleting all logs on all machines didn't prevent them from finding me. how's somebody supposed to find you without one single log left on any computer

depends on what log deleter you use.
if you use v1 on a bank they will defenity find you :d

i always use the best log deleter there is. have the best tools you can get for money and all. bank jobs are the only one i did not get so far. and often those "ruin somebody's life" jobs turn into deadends. the news tells what is required to finish the job but the game thinks otherwise. sux to aboard such jobs and get downgraded because the game didn't notice that you finished it

No, seriously though, Uplink was fun.

if you have HL2 then Dystopia.But the game is overated.It was fun for 5 mins.

that's true. the 'hacking' in there is a bit farty. nice idea but somehow it didn't pay off. maybe with a bit of tweaking the gameplay it gets better.

digital hazard is so much better than blue sky. DH is sort of just a much better version. I don't know if it was a bug or what, but with the demo of blue sky, the game wouldn't go. it took like 10 secs for a letter to register.

also, I tried uplink. It's an ok game. A bit slow though. And a bit random. I love DH though cause it has a story, that's sort of good and it involves typing. Unlike uplink where it's just all mouse. And DH is so well made, an example: go into school registry. Look at this update that seems seemingly useless, there will be a link to a e-mail adress. Go to the e-mail, you find a phone number to a person you have heard of somewhere. you go to the phone compnies logs, check the phone number. then you find the person. You go back to the school, find out he's a teacher. Look at his stuff, and he's the mystery person you were looking for. That was fun.

lets keep discussing these games, they are underrated in my opinion

I love the command-line stuff...finding exploits and all that...but StreetHacker and Uplink almost make you think you're playing multiplayer with the way other hackers can complete your mission before you do. The best is when you have a mission to stop someone and you realize its another mission that YOU have.
