just wonderin if anyone wants 2 team up with me 2 make a massive total conversion 4 vice city.

baisicly there would be more choice of weapons and more buildings 2 go inside. also it could be more interactive e.g u have 2 have certain keys 2 get in to certain houses and you could even be able to customize your house.

so realy its just a big improvement 4 vice city.

the new map could be somewere like calafornia or london

anyway its just a random idea i had

another idea i had was a future mod were the game is set in the future with hover cars and futuristic guns.

use the edit button, and its not that easy to make a total conversion . . .

I would start off with something small at first and work your way up... I can tell you its going to be alot easier to do that instead of just jumpig right into the TC... mod a few vehicles or weapons in first just to start off

Modeling Programs, G-Max, Milkshape, G-Max is best for beginners, as you get better move onto better programs

do you no the program anim8or is there any way of getin models off tht 2 work because i can use tht realy well

Use blender its a great and free program but I will warn you it is difficult (to me anyways to learn to model )

You'd be better off with 3ds max.

That was a waste of a post, try not to make ones like "??????".

Anyway, your best bet would either be 3ds max (if you have the money or a crack) or gmax or milkshape.

However, I think the limit for polies in milkshape is around 15k before it crashes.

= G-Max or 3ds Max
G-Max is free if you dont have the money for 3ds Max, i was for me anyway

I don't believe we use anim8tor or (at least me) gmax, so we wouldn't know.Why don't you research it by downloading, figure out which path you want to take, and then go from there?

zMod is one of the more popular car modding programs for GTA modders, as it's formats work well with the game. A total conversion for GTA would be a massive effort, and it would take more commitment than just a "random idea" session.
