a good one is the gts 450 thats the one i have now and i love everything about it definitely get that one i get around 30 fps on 1440x900 resolution and almost highest setting with Cuban Ultima Doom Sword's Custom Crysis Config [CCC] v1.31, lowest price i found was $99.99 at dell.com highest was $129.82 (in a span of 5 prices) so i say buy it from anywhere and your guaranteed a great deal and you can also over clock it (if you into that thing i don't do it my card crashes and restarts but I'm probably doing something wrong you might be able to do it better...if you know how) but i don't recommend it. buy the card you'll love it nuff said pm me later to tell me how awesome it is happy trails!-snakedog Edited by: snakedog |

GTS 450 is a tad on the weak side. A GTX 460 or a Radeon 6850 would probably suit you better in the long term, and they straddle the sweet spot of value very well. Or a prior generation Radeon 5830 at 100 bucks would be suitable as well. More like 105 after rebate from the tigerdirect, but if you're a first time customer, you can get an additional 10 bucks off with one of their coupon offers. That would be my suggestion personally. |
