Gone Fishin mod for HL2 Thread

basicly a fishing mod! You pick the pole,tackle grab some bait go fishing! I think with HL2 engine and the graphics this would be a total fun game.

It could be totaly open so you could find a good bank to fish or rent a boat!

it could have a lot of different play modes,but you could join fishing tournament server. cast a line with your buddys.

types of maps.

ice fishing.
fresh water fishing.
ocean fishing.
shark hunting.
amazon river fishing.

So many things could be done to make it fun.

I have submitted it as a mod just waiting to see if moddb takes it.

Well I was going to say the fun in fishing is going out and actually fishing, but I used to be addicted to bass fishing games on ps

so basically, I'd probably play this

it sounds good for some reason, as long as you make it good, and not real boring.. like add FUN shtuff in it

I would start simple then build on it. be funny watching people talk about the big fish that got away!

I was also thinking to somehow link all the fish species up to a database that way if they did enter a tournament it would be fair to all those who entered by controling and knowing who actualy caught the big one! that way top prize could goto the right person.

And theres much more, you could say start your own bait shop host a trophy bass server or something like that.

push your buddy into the amazon river watch piranas eat him up.
go digging for worms, drive bass boats into each other! act stupid and get your tackle taken away by department of natural resources! get drunk and go skinny dipping optional hunting mode for deer or other sporstman like activitys

Start simple though if moddb take it on and build from there.

So many good ideas I would be putting all my time into this I imagine.
