Gnirk Thread

This is another re-creation of my old model... Current polycount is 1200. It may increase or decrease during the progress. I made this in about one hour. The original first one, took 5 or more hours to do, even though I had the idea of how it will look like.. I was using quake modeler then, and I had to do everything...

Oh yeah, what it is you probably want to know?

It's a small(about the size of an eagle) flying creature that likes to spank you with it's spikes in the arms...

EDIT: Polycount now 1170. Took about 2 hours to do the skin map and skin. This totally tells me that 3dsmax is much much more efficient program than quake modeler...

Have to agree with Chis. And don't you think the poly is a bit high? Should be able to do it with no more then maybe 400

I think so too, I took the weird lookiness as a compliment anyway I'm going to continue it later today... I'll probably update the picture too.. unless it's not looking any different..

It's skinned now... I resized the image and then sharpened it a bit, but looks like only one of them got sharpened...

Yeah, they do disguise very well in to the environment as some "plants"...

As usual, the codec is MS MPEG-4 3688 V3...

uh, the animation is pretty unnatural, but the model is very nice... and this looks more like an octopus

Almost looks like it's break-dancing. I dunno, I guess it's kinda hard to visualize how its movements should look. But I loike the model and think the animation is pretty cool.
