You're asking for it now. Cricket Revolution. And it was only one euro. Apparently they shut down their own database so you can't register, and you can't play it without logging in. It did let me mess around with the tutorial though, a very terrifying experience in its own right.

Edit: Oh yeah, and Crysis 2. Wrote it a fine little review on Steam Community, outlining my... "mild" disappointment, lol.

Edit edit: As a game designer, I rarely call a purchase wasted. Even bad games are a learning experience. But some are still so excruciatingly perfect examples of how not to make a game, that I can't help shedding a tear over it regardless. Cricket Revolution just flat out didn't work, though. So that was quite a problem.

I wholeheartedly agree. I rarely regret my game purchases, but I'm also very picky at choosing what to buy.

One case that comes to mind is when I bought Earthworm Jim 1 & 2 from GOG. Definitely not bad games and they have a lot of nostalgia value to me, but I did start feeling a little bit uncomfortable supporting their creator for his homophobic comments. It's another case of separating the art from the creator and it's never a simple matter.

Oh lord. Recently it would have to be Aliens: Colonial Marines even though I only paid $5. I read the bad reviews, and knew it was crap before-hand. Figured the $5 would make me enjoy it a tad more. I wish I bought a beer instead.

Although I never bought Arma 3 I feel sorry for my friend who bought it for me considering I barely played it as the amount of bugs apon what is somehow called a release was just crazy.

Pretty much any shooter. I'm not good at them :P

Knights of Pen and paper +1,I thought it was just gonna be a fun little RPG to play in my spare time, but what I got was a bland RPG with generic graphics, low gold gain rate to almost force you to use the micro-transactions.It also lacked the most basic of options (No naming the characters? That runs the whole feel of the game).

Scrolls. I was hoping it would be magic and inspired like Minecraft but in reality it's a terrible MTG with less variety and it's SLOW

Mount&Blade With Fire And Sword. Love the Warband version, but the WFAS is just horrible imo.

Do games count if they were purchased because of how monumentally terrible they are?
Because if so, definitely Bible Adventures on NES.

FEAR 3, that game was a mess to be honest.

When I think a little... Left 4 Dead 1. Yeah, it's fun at all when you have friends playing with, but I rarely played it...

Dark Souls for me because the PC port is terrible. And Forge because I didn't like it and it seemed there was never anyone when I played.

Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity.
Why? Because Rebellion was out, and no one plays Trinity!

I'm adding Terry Prachet's Disc World for PS1. The writing is great, but the load times...dear god the load times...

Battlefield 4. Seems to be very good, but since most friends didn't go beyond BF3 it was probably wasted money. No fun in playing alone :/ .

I regret buying Call of Duty Modern Warfare and all the games up to Modern Warfare 3. The first one with the dlc is still good though

I sort of regret buying Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I haven't played it yet mind you, so I can't say if it's a good game or a bad game, but I bought it plus all the DLC a while back, then just a few weeks later they released the Director's Cut edition which has all that plus some improvements and additions -_-

Oh well, it was on a really good sale, so it's not like I've lost much if I do decide to get the DC anyway.

I really regret buying call of duty ghosts........i know i know. I played it with my cousin on his 360 and got hooked. bought it on steam and its optimized horribly. I guess its what I get for supporting the cod franchise!

Titanfall on PC. I just can't seem to love it on a system I'm not comfortable with. I refused to buy an Xbox One for it.

Kane & Lynch: Dog Days. Really a let down but you did get to see the dark side of Shanghai. MP could have saved it if it weren't for connection issues, the small number of maps and that dammed voice-only communication. It was fun for a while chasing down European gangsters as a member of an equally corrupted SWAT force.

Does anyone still play it, btw?
