On game pages when making a comment the first button is Cancel, can we have them switched around? Or at least have the first tab go to save comment?

So frustrating to be making a comment, pressing tab to get to Save and it cancels, most other places have the post button on first tab for ease of use.

That seems like a lot of work just for the sake of 2 seconds of productivity for one member.

A lot of work? You know nothing about web design I take it, it's a couple seconds work.

Most other places have the "ok", "save" or whatever on first tab, Desura does the opposite and makes it annoying.

Maybe we did it just so it will annoy you? You are however correct in your assumptions, I am not responsible for the webpages in our system, but one "simple" change like you are suggesting would need equal changes on our other sites. If I can use the web for most of my life and also use our sites everyday yet have no issues with button placement I assume you can take the hit on your time and press the tab button once more, or dare say click it with your mouse.

Also it is worth pointing out that in the 10 years ModDB and all most 6 years since v4 no one (aside from yourself) has mentioned any problems with the buttons positions. So you are very much in the minority here. It is also safe to assume that changing the button placement would break a lot of habits for our current user base that would lead to more support issues then what you have brought up here.

So to summarize extra work + extra support + time spent on the change = one happy member and lots of unhappy members.

You could argue that the members who would be effected by the change you suggested should just eat a spoonful of concrete and harden up, but you could also suggest that to yourself. I honestly think it is not a change worth looking into but thank you for the suggestion all the same. Maybe it will come in with our store redesign?

A little rude for a DesuraNET employee aren't we?

Either way it seems pointless me asking for it if that's the kind of response I get.

In future you should probably leave out the silly comments like "Maybe we did it just so it will annoy you? " and suggesting i need to "harden up" why don't you take a spoonful of politeness to customers?

Well, imho, that's actually a good suggestion, but it still would be more appropriate as a part of larger change to the site, redesign for example. It's hardly a big issue, and hardly something that would take too much time, but the only web programmer (*DBs and Desura founder himself) has quite a few others things to do at this moment (you'll see what soon, hopefully). It's not a size/time issue, but the only actual problem is that loads of other things are done in the meantime, which leaves very, very little time for the to-do (community suggestions) list.

Maybe while desura support is fixing buttons they could also get around to deleting the troll accounts that are spreading racism and abuse everywhere.
