Hello Final Fantacy VII fans. I have noticed breeding chocobo for some people is extreamly difficult, so I'll tell you how to breed them all in this simple guide, and where to find some rare ones. MOUNTAIN CHOCOBO (green) Male Great Chocobo + Female good Chocobo + Carbo Nut You can find great Chocobo at the small island in the east, and if you encounter a chocobo with two spirals guarding it, it's a great. The only way to see it's gender is to go back to the ranch. If it's a Female, don't let it go, you can use it later. And if it is, just go back and try again. Good chocobo are at the tracks nearest to the Golden Saucer. If you encounter one with two Specters guarding it, then it's a good. And if it turns out to be a male, then just keep it and you can use it later. You can find a carbo nut at an island south of the bone village. Steal it or mug it from one of those red Kangaro looking things. Tip: Always save before your about to breed a chocobo. These things arn't a 100% guarantee. If it's not what you want, then just load. RIVER CHOCOBO (Blue Female great Chocobo + Male Great Chocobo + Carbo nut If you already caught them from last time, then it will be a sinch. Tip: If your chocobo's arn't producing what you want them to many times, then level them up at the race track. MOUNTAIN - RIVER CHOCOBO (Black) River Chocobo + Mountain Chocobo + Carbo nut In this one, there's about 2/10000 chance it's going to be black. You need to get the Mountain and river Chocobo at rank A. Then your chances would be 80/100. Tip: Go to the Chocobo Sage and buy the Sargrim Greens. There the best stuff to use on a chocobo if your going to race it, but they cost a lot, so I hope your rich. GOLDEN CHOCOBO (Gold) Wonderful Chocobo + Mountain-River Chocobo + Zeio Nut This one's tricky. First you have to find a Wonderful Chocobo in the Snow region. The only tracks there are at the western side. If you encounter a Chocobo with two Jack Rabits next to it, then catch it (Remember, your Black Chocobo's gender varies). To find a Zeio Nut, go to the Goblin Islands at the north east end of the map. Mug or just kill a goblin, and you get your nut. Ok, there is absolutly no chance your chocobo's will make a Gold if there rank is not S at the track. Just buy more of them Sargrim Greens fro the sage, and feed them both 50 (They do go really fast without them. Once you have done that, breed them, and it's a 50/50 chance it's going to mbe gold, so it may be black. Once you have finaly done it, you have a nice little Gold Chocobo that can go over mountains, rivers, and deep water. Tip (Cheet): At the Chocobo racing track, hold down R1,2 and L1, 2, and your stamina will greatly rise up. SECRETS The chocobo are needed to unlock the greatest secrets in the game. MIMIC: in a cave south of Wasasi (China Town). MP -> HP: East of the Golden Saucer. QUAUD ATTACK: South of the Eastern Island Knights of the Round Table Summon: Somewhere north of the Goblin Islands (Not marked on map, so happy hunting) !!!!! YOU CAN AUTOMATICLY GET A GOLDEN CHOCOBO BY DEFEATING RUBY WEAPON BY TRADING THE DESERT ROSE YOU GET FROM IT TO AN OLD MAN IN CALM !!!!! Any questions or comments? |

Wee, copying and pasting from GameFAQs must really bring up your credability level, especially since there aren't a lot of people who play Final Fantasy 7 on a regular basis anymore (Excluding me, but I already knew this info). This would've been better about, oh say, 8 years ago? Edited by: Karuto -- "He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster." |

Shut up, Ippo... just found out you're the same person as Karuto, and that makes perfect sense. --

Hey, I spent a lot of time typing this crap! If you don't raise chocobo, then, do it anyway! They might remake Final Fantacy VII on Playstation 3, and you will remember that one thingy, "Oh, garrett typed that chocobo breeding guide. I'm doomed!". How come every time I do something, I'm suspected of something stupid! Geese, can't I do something without judgemental comments! Edited by: garrett |

I already have a gold chocobo. Why bother raising one when you can beat ruby weapon. --

Because Ruby Weapon is a cheat basket. It can counter Knights of the Round table, the best move in the game, absorb all elements, block phisical and nonelemental crap, but Zero Bahamut can do some good against it. W-summon and it about 6 times can get rid of it, but you get Zero Bahamut if your lucky. |
