Right now it is a train robbery of sorts. Basic ideas is that the two teams worked together to get the train and are fighting over the spoils as you can see with the diamonds on each end. I did try to make the sides more balanced, but of course you can never have them exactly the same so you have to cripple a few of the advantages that they have. It seems like this will work better, and it concentrates the action to where I want it, which was the main reason I made these updates, but balancing the map is a close second. I think I have them both covered now, but unfortunately it will be more chaotic and claustrophobic. Only testing can tell though right. About sniper spam; there are back doors in the main bases so theoretically snipers can be avoided, and I always just jump out a window and gun it to the action and never had sniper problems oddly. The main problem before was snipers shooting you in the ass easily on your return diamond trip, and that is avoided so I think it should be much less annoying. Thank you sir for the input. Otreum, the roads do look like that because they are not really roads lol. I just wanted the muddy texture and none of the actual textures would suffice so a road did the trick. The blockyness is in the works of being sorted out. What really pisses me off is that the roads don't round off in the end. Seriously wtf eh. Oh wait, you are entering your D Day map Otreum? |

while we were on the subject of movie making, i thot i'd post a couple map vids i did while back... They are by no means good examples of how a good vid should be, but take a look just to jolly my roger lol. I admit they are a little longer than need to be, but sometimes i have to much fun with the camera lol. would be nice to add some pvp in sometime tho. a brief comment could be nice =) |

Damn great videos man, roflmao serious. I know what you mean about getting carried away and making the videos too long. But since we can only record 1st perspective, things get limited pretty fast. They both have great fly by's of your maps but some action is definately missing, especially when that second song in Tears of the Sun kicks in. This should be alot of fun trying to grab some footage although choreography is gonna be a bit challenging. Too bad there's no set cameras like GTA4 but there's usually always something great that happens during regular play, it's just a matter of hitting record before the action happens. I'll try to be around when I can, so just shout if you're ingame needing some targets. |

Choreography is pretty easy with people who listen, lol. It's only a problem if you go onto a public server where people just want to play, not help make a video. Okayplayer what is your steamID so we can add you to steam friends? If we get everyone added to the friends list who is participating we can have our own little group to organize when we want to record footage. |

I published the new version of Once Upon a Time in the East. I did not however, delete the old versions so no biggie if you forget to add updated to your new rotation Eagle. If you could add that your rotation that would be the bees knees. There is a bit of an easter egg in this so whoever finds it (except Otreum & Judo) wins. BTW can we just call eachother by our names I'm getting sick of typing out Judo and Otreum etc. The name's Kev, nice to meet you all. =D |

That's how it's pronounced Well...R6 and I had a bit of 1 on 1 fun (tisk tisk), we checked out my "The Cube o' Death" map, and found a really big f'ing flaw in the map thankfully, but it should be pretty nuts with a few people, prob not even any need for a full server.
Then we mucked around in his Cabin map and reanacted some thriller scenes where the murderer sneaks into the house/cabin and tries to stab the occupants and..yeah that was kinda creepy and fun Anywho, you hopefully will be able to help out later with this recording, it seems that only about 3 people are needed for this maybe, so we should be good to go. BAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHH brilliant, just brilliant...well I guess F0u couldn't wait to see the Ultra Tank destroyed Here is my crappy attempt at a video for the D-Day map. The program I was using to edit the video was driving me insane so I didn't bother doing any choreographed stuff with you guys, I just used what footage I had... Those of you who have played Ultra Tank underground will be pleased to know that i've made things ALOT better. There are ladders on the side of the tank going from the lower walkway area up onto the front of the main deck so that attackers don't have to run to the middle of the tank before going back up to the front of the deck. The glider on the UFLL team has been put further back and higher up so that the glider can be used to land on the tank, there is a trick to landing properly on the tank, you have to swoop under the low rock in the middle of the cave and back up above the tank, you CANNOT go straight into the tank, that results in epic failure Uuuuh, I made some other minor changes so that people can find their way around the cave easier such as a campfire up to the left side of the cave (facing the tank) so that people can see that they can actually go up to the left side of the cave and follow the path around so that they can eventually do an epic jump across to the side of the tank. And that's about it....the new version is uploaded on ubi servers right now so everyone grab it. Edited by: Otreum |

Yeah, only I get to release Ultra Tank maps sorry guys, and I want to have my turn at ripping the thing apart F0u and I discussed what might be a good Ultra Tank finale, and we came about the topic of bridges. F0u's suggestion was a huge bridge that the Ultra Tank is crossing, which could be cool, however I'm a bit concerned about the parts laying about the level looking a bit odd, they look ok in pieces on terrain that the objects can dig into, like sand, but i'm unsure of solid terrain. OH BTW!, I did some work on the original Ultra Tank, added more rocky cover, more rocky detail to the UFLL base, occlusion blocks inside the Ultra Tank now which should help with performance, I added some ladders to it as well to make deck access easier. I also moved UFLL spawn points so that it should be easier for the APR to attack the UFLL base. Edited by: Otreum |
