Hello! I've uploaded a game on here before (Called 'Vanity'), but I was working on this new game that was originally made for a contest. The theme was 'Chaos', so I made a game where you dodge craptons of rockets being fired at you while in space, listening to some of the best chiptunes I've ever heard (Thanks to Pitfall for being awesome and making the music ;) ). I felt there was no better name for it than "ROCKETS FUCKING EVERYWHERE".

You can download/play the game here: Gamejolt.com

This poses some potential problems, so I was curious if the IndieDB staff would allow "FUCK" to be in any part of the title in the first place? If not, then how can I best censor the title on the games page without totally omitting it from existance?

Thanks again! Nice to meet all of you ;)

Yes. I cant imagine any one caring about it. Maybe even Rockets F*CKING everywhere.

I think the question here is as it is with all profanity. It's not about if other people are offended or allow it, it's about if it actually helps your case or not. I have yet to find a situation where it could be used in one's benefit.

Remember that there is always a more powerful expression than a swear word. You will find one for your project's name if you want to.

You americans and your swear words.
Where's the problem? This site is full of horror games and shooters where you decapitate enemies with your shotgun. No one is going to cry about such a title.
I agree with shadowflar3. If it's beneficial, go ahead. If you want to name your game "Captain Dicks Motherfucking Zombie Massacre: Ultimate Bitch Killing Edition" for the sake of it, I think it's a bad idea.

In general, if you need to ask then it's a bad idea. :)

EDIT: it's not apparent on a site like this, but many consider swearing pretty low brow and a classless act. Would you like your face on the national news with that title next to it?

Any press is good press as they say. But I agree with the above comments, if you are unsure about something than it is better to err on the side of caution. That kind of title may be good on a flash portal site like newgrounds or kongregate but if you are looking to make a name for yourself there are better ways of doing it.

Thanks guys! I have plans to sell this game when it's ready, so I might change the name to something like "Rockets Andromeda" when doing so (Even though then I have to remake the logo :P ), but for now it will be what it is.

Also, the Windows and OSX downloads were authorized, so i'll probably make a new thread focused around feedback and playtesting. Thanks again ^^

You could always censor the offending word?

ROCKETS F*CKING EVERYWHERE
