Empire at War Mod idea, thoughts? Thread

I have an idea for a mod which I think is quite good but I'd like other opinions on it

Essentially its a "what if?" mod built around Vader discovering Luke is his son before the first Death Stars destruction, leading him to leave the Empire and join the Rebellion (with great suspicion and difficulty) and seek to redeem himself. With Vader joining the Rebellion many Imperials swap sides too, or decide to go pirate.

What i'd aim to do

Rebels get access to numerous Imperial Space and Ground units
conssortium gains numerous Imperial and Rebel units (representing those who have gone pirate)
the Emperor is.......angry

I've made a small personal mod that has most of the units i'd want to add anyway, so all I'd need to do is get permissions from various modders to use their stuff in a public release, find out how to change what side Vader fights on, find someone/learn how to get the accursed icons working
