Orthot II is the 3D Transport Puzzle: The goal in every puzzle is to reach exit points, which you do by Manipulating objects, solving mazes, avoiding hazards, or whatever else the puzzle designer had in mind (or perhaps didn't). Each puzzle is built out of puzzle elements which you may interact with and which interact with each other.

Puzzle mechanics are governed by a Discrete Physics Engine: Objects occupy cube-shaped indivisible volumes and move one space at a time. Time passes in specific indivisible intervals. Collision detection is concurrency-aware, so the outcome of collisions is very consistent. Overall, this establishes a well-defined and consistent framework, which puzzle designers can then make great use of.

This project should be quite interesting - Orthot adds an extra dimension to its sub-genre, which leads to some rather unusual challenges. It was a game that I wanted to play from the moment it was conceived, but could not because nobody else was making it or anything like it. So, I developed it on my own, and decided just how the extra dimension is to change transport puzzles.

A 3D puzzle! This one involves much vertical movement with a front pane and a back pane.

It was developed as a solo project and without funding. I have a free demo available with 15 puzzles, and, if you like it and you want more puzzles and the editor (for creating and sharing insane challenges or perhaps for playing around with some a 3d modelling tool which I have found useful and easy), the full version is for sale on my site for $15.00. If buying it just is not enough, I could also use some support for the project - Apparently, publicity is hard, even if I think my project has merit, so it would be nice to have people talking about it with their friends, and creating and sharing puzzles.

I would also love to see your questions and comments, either on this thread or on my indiedb page.
