DOOM III
Half-Life 2

2 great titles , 2 great game engine . 2 strong fan base , and 60 $ only !
i'm a modder , so you know that a modder needs : fans & game engine & support .
and these 2 games both have it .
wich one do i get?

HL2, it'll actually run on ur PC!

I'll just check the demos , when they are released .
i just got this from planet doom , donnu how many saw it before , but it's a total new way for character modelling that we can see in doom III they use high poly characters as the skin , and apply the skin to the optimized vertion , if i'm right . thats why it looks soo smooth in game , but they are not that smooth really !

Get both?
And make the most out of the bloody expensive DirectX 9.0 card you would have had to pay for.

Save up till then and buy both, if only to get HL2 so you can air yourself on national TV and smash a HL2 CD just to screw with all the idiots.

You can't make other people choose the game for you. Its really your choice. If you can't choose, just get both.

Yeah, I'm trying to complete a bunch of games so i can trade em in when all these new games come out

I have never traded in a PC game, but I have bought second hand copies of some games, like Quake and Quake 3.

I'd never buy a used game w/ multiplayer depending on a cd key tho.

I meant a good, bloody expensive DirectX 9.0 card, you know, one that allows you to have medium-maximum details. My card wasn't really that expensive, but it's all relative to how much you earn. I earn $75 a week, and bought a $200 Radeon 9600 256MB Pro at the market. I also bought a ASUS A7N8X-X for $100, but turns out it's broken.

You've got a point there frosty, but I'm used to low detail thanks to have a TNT2 for a year.

Same, I've had to suffer with a broken GeForce2 Pro, which then was downgraded to a Diamond Stealth II S220 2MB.

Not a lot ran on that old card. But I'm still waiting for my motherboard replacement. Going on nearly six days now.
