Gather 'round boys and girls, and screw your eyeballs to the screen 'cause missing one second of this will cause damage that only years of boring-ass therapy can repair. This isn't Mom & Pop's half life mod and it sure as hell isn't your average CS "realism" clone. You want realism? Go lick a razor-blade and you'll have all the realism you want. This mod gives realism a flying freaking shove out of a second story window onto a wrought iron fence. Mods are about entertainment and entertainment is about imagination, and this mod has that in spades.

Ever wonder what would happen if a giant freaking something did a giant freaking something to Earth that caused civilization to take a rocket propelled nose dive into a dysentery clinics outhouse? Defense Command will tell you want will happen. War. That’s right, war. Everyone gets along nice and happy as noble savages until someone gets jealous and the shooting starts.

In war, you pick your sides, try not to slip on your enemies guts as you run past his still twitching corpse on the battlefield and hope your allies are skilled or crazy enough to do their job right so you don’t end up like the guy you just unzipped. In Defense Command you've got the low tech Prols who's tactics fluctuate between throwing masses of troops against a target and winning and throwing masses of troops against a target and loosing. Standing up to this wall of human flesh are the NWR who have all the latest gadgets their technologists can scrape out of the remains of any library they find.

Now, most of you average fly-by-night mods would leave it like that. Two sides beating the tar and piss out of each other until one came out on top. But even a lobotomized and sedated chimp knows that there is always the good side, the bad side and the “other” side. Defense Command takes that idea and sends it head first through a tree chipper: we say "screw-you' to three sides and "hell yeah" to five. The more the merrier! When the world is a cow-pie sandwich, every bite someone else takes is one you don’t have to.

The world is at war, and when war happens, people write it down. Most mods provide a setup and leave it at that, end of story. Not Defense Command. When a new side becomes playable you’re not only going to hear why they decided to join the cow-pie feast, but what they did, how they won or how they got the tar and piss beaten out of them.

I could go on, but I’m libel to use nastier language than this board allows, so our home page is Defensecommand.com where you can see the deign doc, concept images and news about whats happening.

Here’s some concept images for your viewing pleasure. Theres a lot more where this comes from so be sure to check out the site.
