well, with the polys allowed... It looks like 50 different sidearms... It could pass as a colt, beretta, whatever you wanted... Theres not much room for detail in Q1. just had to back my buddy carni up... snow |

heh.. actually its missing the back of it.. and q1 can handle nice looking models its just i suck at modelling/using studiomdx(shitty crashes every 5 minutes) plus when you save it randomely moves vertices.. and i cant find a better q1 modeller.. dont get me started with QME ( horrible at making but great at merging and skinning) does anyone know of a better one ? |

cant they fix that ? when i get emersed in making a model i forget to save it then boom.. freeze and crash.. damn all the modeling apps ! although without them id have a empty spot in me :*( |

Are you looking for a free modeling program? I've heard of Gmax... but as far as paying (or illegaly, which i'm not endorsing) lightwave is an awesome 3d modeler |

i need to be able to export to quake1 .mdl for free.. i tried gmax and that was easy not too lnog ago.. does that export to .mdl ? |

I've heard of people doing it I think.. But I really don't know... if all else fails, you could find a program.. or another person, who could do it for you... having a steady modeler is most important snow |

That's HL MDL, not quake1 mdl. I use MS3D to make md2's then convert them to mdl. I never use QME for animating - i use q2modeler. -- < insert subject games here >
