First let me describe my experience with database developing. I have a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science. During college I took 2 database classes and had 2 internships, one of which was with NASA and required use of MySQL. They were very happy with the outcome of the project using MySQL. Since I graduated I have had a full-time software development job. Lately at my job I have been using SQLServer, but have not yet finished the project. That being said, I am not specialized in database development, it is just a part of my skill set. I am only offering database development because it is such a big obstacle in many games, but also because I don't have the time to put into a project that would be required if I were to offer more. Now to the part that people won't like: I expect some kind of monetary reimbursement. I would prefer to work on a project that has made great progress on everything but database design/development, ie its the only thing keeping a beta from being released. In this case I would not expect any pay until the game makes money. In all other cases I will expect to be paid for every large chunk of work I produce, and won't continue with any more work until I am paid. I will not charge near what my employer pays me, but neither will I take scraps. The exact amount of money will be worked out on a case by case basis, based upon the type and amount of work. Feel free to ask questions or clarifications. I look forward to seeing where my skills can be utilized. Edited by: lancer611 |

I suppose FeudalStudios could use you at sometime for Call of kings? If you join or do some work, the payment won't come till we get a income. Edited by: FeudalStudios |

Feel free to inform me when you know exactly what you need regarding a database. Your project is too much in the early stages for my comfort, but thanks for your interest. -- Controlling complexity is the essence of computer programming. --Brian Kernigan |
