Hi, I have just downloaded and installed cf2142. When I run the game I am asked to insert the correct cd rom which is already in. I have the 2142 Deluxe edition if that makes any difference. Since the 2142.exe is replaced by the mod I also can't run the normal game so I have to reinstall. Could anyone help me out here? Thanks. |

Surely no mod should ever replace the original game exe |

Yeah I thought so too but it does, the original is 11,283KB and it's replaced by one that's 8,213KB. |

Reinstall, and when you copy over the old file RENAME the original exe. Not backing up a really silly thing to do. I'd ask the team about installation though. Does it not have a readme? |

It is a thing we had to do for the MSI Installation process to work, as I who was repackaging the mod to the install didn't foresee the use of the Deluxe Edition which causes the problem. Still, the installation has been fully tested with the EA Downloader and Disc Version of the vanilla BF2142. Sorry for the trouble there, and thank You for bringing this problem up. |
