Combine soldier reskin Thread

Does anyone else remember these heavy combine soldier models?

To be honest, the combine soldier's default model in Half-Life 2 just looks bad. I just don't like the way their armor looks, it's way too bulky and just isn't that threatening. I don't really mind the CP's armor that much since they're just regular human cops, but genetically augmented combine super soldiers honestly need to look more like... well, genetically augmented super soldiers. The reason I love this model so much is because it doesn't stray too far from the original Half-Life 2 look while still looking freaking awesome.

So, is it somehow possible to extract the "models" and "materials" folders from the .GMA file? I already know how to put them on the combine soldier as a reskin, but I don't know how to obtain them. If you can, please let me know. Thank you.

Dude i know wat you mean...The default combine soldiers just look shitty...I admit...A soldier is something that looks sleaker,taller and heavier..and at the same time intimidating enough.Even the beta version of the soldier looks somewat cooler albeit no variety like the final versions.

I know of a guy at facepunch who modelled 2 types of soldiers..but no elites and no shotgunner model.
