Yea im making TLS(half-life modification) And I was kinda hoping to make it cell shaded anyone know if I can do such a thing using a half-Life engine? I know its more texture oriented than anything. Ahh I was thinking it would be alot easier and the texture artist wouldnt be as needed. |

It is very possible, it's the code that makes it cell shaded. Sven coop (hl mod) has a cell shaded enemy on one the maps. |

ah but would it be easy to make the entire game cell shaded? I just thought it would be a whole hell of a lot easier on the design part. |

Nah the sven co-op toonrun models arent coded, just make a model, and surround it with an expanded layer of backfaces for the outline. Thats how they did it. |

Yea but by the description of the game IIIX fit the description to be cell shaded?? Its a pretty good game! |

Cel-shading is like vectoring all of the textures in real time and in high resolution, and I have no idea how that would be coded. I don't know that the HL engine is capable of that, but it's definitely possible with enough time invested. |
