Can someone please help me!!!! Thread

Why can't I install the Natural Selection Mod? I get the error that I don't have Halflife version 1.1.1.0 or CounterStrike Retail version 1.3 and that I should upgrade and then try again.

I don't have halflife 1.1.1.0 because... I dont own that version. I own
Halflife-Counterstrike and all I needed to do was update Counterstrike to 1.0.0.5 Am I missing something here? Aren't I updated? It's asking for 1.3... I have 1.5.. Why do I get the error?

Maybe you should do WHAT THE ERROR WINDOW TELLS YOU!

Ummm, That didn't help much. The question was why it asks me to update when I am at the latest Update there is. Why degrade to get the mod to work? Or does that have to be done? I have 1.5 CS... Whats the problem here? I still don't get it..

Ya even if it did install if you dont have the new cs retail patch you couldt play it online

right. If you have CS retail and you play it online at the moment you will have 1.5. But what I think you have done is this:

You've bought a copy of Half-Life.
You have either installed CS retail (on a seperate CD from Half-Life) or downloaded 1.5.
CS has different versions from Half-Life, so you can play a recent CS on an old Half-Life.
Go to here or here to get the 1.1.1.0 patch.
This patch will update Half-Life, so you can:
Play NS!
