Hi ModDB web developers,

I want to report a bug in my forum here

Moddb.com

Whenever I move my thread to another board, the topic amount in the board didn't update to the new amount

for eg.

Although I have moved some of my deleted threads from the "BULLY: ZAMBess Discussion" board & "Bugs Reporting" board to the "Archives" board

but in my "BULLY: ZAMBess Discussion" board, the topic amount is 3 (the correct amount should be 1), and "Bugs Reporting" board, the topic amount is 2 (the correct amount should be 1)

and in the "Archives" board, the topic amount is 0 (the correct amount should be 3, because I have moved my 3 deleted thread to that "Archives" board)

And BTW, I moved my deleted thread to the "Archives" board, because I can't really delete a thread completely from my forum (I have asked a staff member from moddb, and he said that you can't really delete a thread completely from the forum, he suggested to me to make a board and move my deleted thread to another "Archives" board)

I'm just wondering, is it possible for the ModDB web developers to fix this, so we (mod developer) can really delete our thread completely from our forum

Thanks

So basically your bug report requests two fixes:
- refreshing of cached amount of threads on mod/game forums
- an ability to perma delete threads (well, perma-delete or move/separate posts to new threads without perma-deleting users would be useful too, as some community members derail threads on the forum)

Yes, those two fixes.

And for the permanent delete threads, I have no problem if the moddb admins & moderators are the only one that can use this feature, as long as the threads can be permanetly deleted from the boards (if a modder want to perma-delete his threads from his own forum boards, he must contact the moddb admins/moderators).

UPDATE:

Hi ModDB web developers,

Thanks, the first issue (refreshing of cached amount of threads on mod/game forums) has been fixed, it works now

Btw, any update on the second issue, is it possible to implement it (ability to perma-delete threads) on the modder forum?
