This article has some good insights for the brave ones that are trying. Bit.ly
It would be interesting to hear from developers who have succeeded in Japan considering only few western games are popular there.

Any of you out there?

Interesting article for app developers. The link doesn't work for me though, dunno why. Maybe this one works better Blog.appnext.com for some.

Thanks Thanoshld

Interesting, I wouldn't say its impossible.

However, I do believe the biggest barrier is two different society's, language barriers, type of game development (Anime), just the way they make their video game's- let alone mobile ones.

It just isn't worth it for the major ball players (Gaming Companys/Indie Devs) time in the U.S to compete with an already huge successful market. That has more then enough great games then what other parts of world do, why would they try selling ina saturated/controlled market when they already have sucessful ones in NA, SA, EU, AU... etc.
