I have working on this model yesterday, is missing somethings. Scope + Silencer + Trigger + and a reload mechanism

Looks cool, but I think it got some 1000 or more polygons wasted. What's the polycount?

around 4300 at the moment, I acan cut it back by 1000 I think, its going to be a high poly weapon ;) but I know I can defiantly cut the polys back a lot

Take off all those uneeded stacks, like on the hand grip, the butt stock, and some on the reciever,and there some wasted on the carrying handle on top, and on the front iron sight.
But other than that, thats a real good model you got there.

in abit I will be showing some screens, and thanks for the pointers, I got rid of the most wasted stacks of indices and etc thanks :)

hey,
with the grip that makes it 4600, but thats just for pimpaging purposes ;) the one that will be textured will have a normal grip which makes it 3800, just need to make some nice renders and you can see the uzi :) its done just had to touch it up

Without the fancy grip it should be no more than 1500 polys.

Can you show us a wireframe of the side?

its 3800 :) yes we are looking for a hgood skinner :) and when you are playing a game, do you worry aobut the polycount? model + skin is good

well far cry (which my mod uses) has a max poly count of only 1500 for weapons, now what is weird is that for half-life 1 i have a 8100 poly model in it and there is no lag so i mean depends on what you mod.

wow 8100 poly model?//? i thought HL1 only supported 3500 max for gun+hands, and far cry supports wayyy more then 1500 bro....its revolutionary, coming out almost same time as HL2, if you seen the preview the guns the people have are sooo graphical
