anyone know any GMAX tutorials? Thread

I am starting to learn Gmax but I'm having a hard time with it. I was really good with Milkshape but my free trial ran out ^_^ So now I'm trying my hand at Gmax, and it's a pain. If anyone could help point me in the direction of some tutorials It'd be very much appreciated

No, I wish, I think if you learn like one modeling program its pretty simple to get the others because most of them are basically the same. that probably dosent help at all.

Just buy milkshape. Its really cheap.

yeah I was good with milkshape but I wish I could learn Gmax just because it seems you can do a lot more. I guess I'll have to end up buying milkshape... I just don't feel like dropping 25 bucks on a half-assed modeling program

well its what you get for 25 bucks ya know... or you could use gmax, but for some reason I though gmax was more for C&C type games... i dunno

Well, it's either 25 bucks on milkshape, or 300 bucks on some professional modeling program.

well it's not friggin 25 bucks here, just becuase the trial ran out on me, i just kept on using it. w00t!

As for gmax, just find some 3dsMax tutorials and follow them, after gMAX is the same thing but for modders of games.

Or you could get Blender which is free Can do low or high poly modeling. compares to Maya, Lightwave, and 3D Studion Max. And is constantly being upgraded And with python scripts you can export just about anyting you want, as long as theres a script for it. And more script are constantly being written, thou if your on OSX like myself, theres a bug with Blender and python, so very few scripts work. But they nearly all work on linux and windows

How bout i just give you a key... cuz i have like 5, 4 from my brothers, and 1 from my cousin Timmy. 3 Of them arent in use, so tell me if you want them people out there....

wow gamx is preaty simple to learn. Just google search tutorials, and if you can find any pm me because if have some great ones. PLus i was great with milkshape but i moved on to gmax all you have to do is find a exportrt format that matches milkshapes, and then you can create great looking mods
