Anyone ever play Sacrifice? Thread

There is this game called Sacrifice by Shiny I think it is. I wondered if anyone had ever played it and what their opinions about it were?

I think it is one of the most astounding games I have ever played. I read hardly anything about it though and it seems to have died a few years ago.

Thought I would check if the game was really as anonymous as it seems.

Man, that game was great! It was way ahead of its times in real-time strategy terms. Although it was critically acclaimed, I guess not enough people bought the game. That's sort of what happened to games such as Viewtiful Joe, Prince of Persia, and Beyond Good & Evil. It's a sad thing it see, but Sacrifice is definitely a cult sleeper classic

I remember that game, I really didn't like it at all. Just not my kind of game.

Is this a strategy-type game, with 3D view and strange monsters which you can control and improve? Or something like that? I remember Sacrifice, I believe I have the original game somewhere, but I played it really long time ago.

It came with my graphics card, i like the game but it gets hard fast so i've stopped playing it <_<

You are correct, sir. Shiny has been known to develop cult classics, such as MDK, Earthworm Jim, Messiah, Wild9...

They're a pretty cool company, even if they did develop the travesty that was "Enter the Matrix"

Sacrifice was okay but rather slow, I completed it twice about four years back

Multiplayer was fun for a bit, soundtrack was awesome, and it might be more playable on my tbird, i'll give it another try sometime.

i havn't played it, yet i heard great reviews. i play Black and White though and that game is awsome. i think its the same type of game

I remember coming across my friend playing it one time, other than that, I don't know much about it. Looked interesting though.

Awesome awesome awesome! My brother and i lan'ed that game for a few months, it had great multiplayer and singleplayer
