Wow you guys are great, I try to help and all I get is a lack of information and now I'm the enemy. You win and I'm wrong.

By the way, If you all have the time to talk about shit like this then you had all the time in the world to talk back to me, Isn't that right when I join the IRC and nobody says anything during the days I was on, Caffeine? Or are you just gonna shittalk instead of taking the time to actually send me the info/model so I can get to work instead of sitting around idle like an idiot.

Sugar, I've lurked the GD forums constantly, I don't post much because there's not much I can say about someone learning to use mudbox or off-topic chatter.
I won't be looking for a mod team forever because I've been working on a mod for 1-2 years with an ORGANIZED team.

Sn1pe has animated so many weapons for us (like about.. 9 or 10 so far?) and he's like 4x faster than most the animators I know. There's something wrong on your end.

1) You should have post YOUR progress as well.
2) We were waiting until you finish bullsquid, we would give you another assignment afterwards. However, I had no idea that BQ animations are done, nor I have seen video with progress.

Yes, he maybe can throw out 9 animated weapons in short time. But we have different workflow.
I think it did work like you assigned him something and he posted final version and moved onto another assignment straight away. That's what we don't want. We want to be constantly updated on the progress, give feedback and let him to improve it afterwards. Assignment is done when most people on the team is satisfied and consider it as finished, not when he considers it as final version! He didn't however update us, nor informed us about his probelems

Also, when you were joining the team for the very first time, I was concerned as well about your incompetence to accept criticism and bad communication. They were clearly right. Maybe you can do nice animations, but when someone wants to change something or just require more complex communication, it's bad for you...

I wasn't going to reply on this thread, but now I think I will anyway.
Now there is 2 sides to the story here obviously, and I have my own experience with Javid as well, which doesn't really matter at this point to be honest.

It's very simple, if you don't like how he works, don't work with the guy. You can post rants here, but to me that makes you look a bit unprofessional, if you are representing a mod or indie game (not directly aimed towards anyone). People come and go in this field of 'work', thats just how it is and that will not change. Don't put any more energy than needed into teammembers which you don't feel should be on the team anymore, rather look for other ones that will fit your project and be the better for it.

Just my 2 cents on the matter :)

I will admit I didn't post any future WIPs but I did post gifs of some of the bullsquid animations when I was getting back on the team you can't really deny that, Nobody had any objections to it either.

Now you're completely wrong there, I've posted many of my WIPs to Jlea on those weapon anims, Every single weapon for his mod has seen 4 iterations, all of them completely redone from scratch until I was satisfied with them reaching perfection.

I honestly don't know if you get some sort of sick and twisted pleasure out of dragging this on here in a public forum when we could have just talked about it.

You're the guy from Plauged right? The L4D 2 mod that kicked me out because I went afk for a day on Skype?

Let's break this down:

1. You join a team.
2. A task is given to you.
3. You are given the build via SVN.
4. You make no more posts, show no work or communicate anything otherwise to indicate progress. Essentially, you are completely silent.

What is this, kindergarten?

I don't know about the task part probably because of a chatting system I don't really like being used as communication when a simple email would have been more notifying amongst all the off topic chatter.

That's VERY SAME experience here actually. I think this convo just goes nowhere anyway.

If you're going to lie then lie better, still have my bullsquid WIP gifs in my dropbox which I'm PRETTY SURE is still linked to your forum.

It's also rather ironic on behalf of your team members.

I'm not replying to this thread anymore unless it's a PM because nobody seems man enough to send me one.

Those gifs are from test assignment, not what you have done afterwards....! So the only one who lies here is you. But I'm leaving this topic.
