Animated GIFs for game pages? Thread

Howdy all,
Do you guys have any plans to allow devs to upload gifs as their images? Still images don't really do my project justice.

I tried and it only animates the first gif in the preview. If you click it, it shows as a still image. The others don't animate at all.
While slapping gifs everywhere was once bad ~netiquette~ because of connection speeds/screen sizes, it's pretty much a norm now.

Hey Jay, Gifs are fully supported.

Oh, I must be doing it wrong. Are there limitations I should watch out for?

Could you link those gifs just to be sure? It seems like their 620x2000 thumbnails do not animate but when you click View Original (the original size) they do.

The only limitation is the file size limit. If you wish to embed a large GIF in an article, you would have to upload it somewhere else. (This is not possible for news preview image or your gallery here though, so any gifs uploaded as previews or gallery pieces have to be as compact as possible.)

However this gif is linked from my site, I haven't tried to upload the gif directly. I assume it will work,too, though.
